After getting our first official look at the upcoming Nike Kobe 11 in it’s debut Achilles Heel colorway earlier yesterday, we now take a first look at a color option that will be releasing next month.
Set to debut on January 27th for a retail price of $200 is this new Kobe 11 that flaunts a clean black and white Flyknit upper. The shoe was on display at theNike Kobe 11 launch preview at Nike Vault in Los Angeles today. As you may already know the low-top sneaker was designed by Eric Avar.
The Nike Kobe 11 utilizes pearlescent TPU threads on the upper and a stronger iteration of Flyknit that offers more support as well as higher performance. Cushioning is supplemented with a full-length Lunarlon foam and Zoom unit in the heel.
This new colorway sees black used on the front half of the sneaker with white being used around the ankle. The Swoosh on the side panels is also 3M and has a “snake-like” texture presumably to go along with Kobe’s Black Mamba nickname.
Another piece of news that we received regarding the Kobe 11 is that there will be no high-top elite version of the silhouette this year. So that may or may not be disappointing news for some of you.
There is no official name or inspiration behind this colorway but we’ll get that for you as soon as it becomes available.
